I have been eating more and more candy lately and noticed I have been breaking out like crazy on mainly my chin, but also some on my forehead, around the side of my nose, arms and even my back (also known as bacne). The reason for this is because sugar aggravates hormonal acne, which of course most acne is caused by hormones… Also pigging out on the really sweet stuff my waist has been getting a little pudgy, but nothing too extreme, so I have came to the conclusion that I do have an addiction to sugar, which of course Dr. Oz did say that you can become addicted to sugar and it’s like heroin because it’s so hard to stop. Also why it’s vital to quit eating so much candy is because it causes health problems, such as:
• Type 2 diabetes
• Elevated triglycerides
• Low HDL (good) cholesterol levels
• Heart disease
The best way that I have learned through my research last night to quit this addiction is to either cut cold turkey (which lets face it, I have tried in the past and it did work for a little while, but then started back up, but worse than I was before), combine foods like dipping something healthy in chocolate, or slowly weed yourself off of the sugary sweetness.
So, if you want to live a healthier lifestyle and have beautiful skin, lay off those extremely sweet treats we all seem to crave…..I know I am
